Open Source Clothes

OpenKnit and Open Fit Lab are two cool projects that combine open source and clothing. It’s an interesting way to open up the design process.

And on the same subject, here’s Johanna Blakley’s TED talk, where she mentions how courts long ago decided that apparel design is too utilitarian to qualify for copyright protection. However, the video is from 2010 and in the comments beneath the video she mentions how this since has been changed.
